competition SURFing

Ahhh, yes, much loved surf comp. What prize is $ 50,000 on a pipe or trophies at the presentation to your local club, we all love to get good results. Here's how to do best in a competitive situation.Set up the standard of competition officials assess tent, / judges, hot / scoreboard where officials will install times, competitors and score, surfers, supporters, the area contest, and three colored flag. There are three flags used during the competition and any change will be the flag signal to the surfer with a whistle, horn or hooter.Green flag - This is to mark the start of your heat. Now you can continue to catch the wave and scored on them.Yellow flag - This is the signal you have five minutes left in your heat. Competitors from the next heat will paddle out and sit to the side until the red flag.Red flag - the heat is over. It's time to come to the beach on your stomach. Each wave after this not to score.
.................................................. Heat ...................................... rules ...A ride to score when the surfer to their feet and take their hands from the rails. To get maximum points, the surfer must perform maneuvers clean and with strength in the pocket (nearest to the broken) waves.Waves will be scored from 1-10, with considering the conditions and distinguish between each wave to rank obvious competitor.Surfer may apply sanctions to stop or interfere with another wave surfer.Every surfer may catch some waves and to score for the best two rides.Surfer with the highest combined score is the winner of the second wave.
.................................................. ................ Important thing to remember in the competition Act appropriately. Fair, polite and show some self control. This means there is no harassment, harassing or bullying. Let your surfing do the talking.Respect official's decision. Even if they can not judge the way out of a paper bag (this happens on odd occasions!), Nothing is worse than get a bad reputation as an angry competitor. If you require further explanation, ask politely and listened. You can often get valuable information from your surfing tips and comments.Keep your equipment in good condition.Make sure there are sharp edges, good dings repaired or taped over the worst-case scenario. Make sure you have enough boards and rope wax your legs properly applied.Do not be afraid to pull out.No shame in stepping down if the ridiculously large, but it certainly beats putting themselves into dangerous situations. If you have friends or family to come, make sure they support all the competitors.I have seen some shocking Mom and Dad contaminate other competitors, as well as their own children. Not looking good and it makes other people angry.

.................................................. On the day ... ......................................Wake up early. If you do not already happy, at least you've got time to prepare. Get as much as you can ready the night before, and a good night's sleep '.Eat a good breakfast. Porridge, fruit or cereal. If you could only mild stomach something to go for muesli bars. Drinking water pile.Watch the waves. Identifying rips, rake and sand dunes. Check out the wind and swell directions on the internet, or ask a lifeguard.Watch other people. Observe where they paddle out. Also look for where the best waves are in the area contest.Go to free surfing first. This enables you could feel the waves that day. You will not have to spend valuable time paddling round to find the right place.Check when you're on. Take a look when you are hot. If one of the first, make yourself ready! If not, use the time to watch the other surfers. See what maneuvers and approach to surfing at work. Where is the best place to sit out there? If family and friends there to spend some time to relax with them.Try not to panic. Contrary to what Billy Madison said, "Peeing your pants is NOT cool!" Well, not before you get into the water, anyway. A competition may seem daunting, but try to dumb down: It was a hot 20 minutes and you just have to get two waves. Other things are what you build up to be in your head.Add again. I am a big music lover so I believe in playing some hard songs that you like to get you in the mood. I'm a rock chick so I like Foo Fighters, Muse, Switchfoot, and Rage Against The Machine if it was big. If smaller, something a little more gentle and pleasant. Whatever floats your boat, really!
.................................................. ...................................... You're awake!Take several deep breaths before you enter Relax and get yourself in the right head space. Go with a good attitude and you will enjoy the experience so much more.Take your time paddling out. You do not want to throw all your energy directly.Be selective. When I first started I was going to wave after wave and the more tired I was, the worse my style. You better wait for some good.... But not TOO picky! In the same way, if you only have one or two waves at the time the yellow flag appeared, crazy! Try to ride the waves as far as you can for maximum points.Fun for the other contestants. Do not put it down. Say 'hi' when you log in, or 'good waves' quiet when they come back out. Try not to chat world for your nerves. Just relax. You're out there to catch some waves.Enjoy these good feelings. Sometimes it does not run right in comp. So relax, laugh and have fun watching others surf. There will always be more waves.
.................................................. Reflecting ......................................
Whether it's celebrating the win, learn a new maneuver or what not to do, you always get out of a competition to know something else. And that's what surfing is all about.
